A Bad Day All Around: John Ritter Passes Away, As Well

Not that you didnít already know it, but today sucks. First Johnny Cash, and now news that actor John Ritter has passed away as well. Best known for his '70s playa-acting-gay-to-live-with-women (what was this, Puritan Rentals R Us?), Jack Tripper, Ritter also featured as the stellar Vaughan Cunningham in the equally incredible Sling Blade, and was currently starring in 8 Reasons I Want To Hit Your Teenage Daughter, or something equally ridiculous. OK, so the last show is as lame as a Carrot Top, Sinbad, Robert Rodriguez comedy tripleheader, but the first two were pure quality. Ritter collapsed on the set of his current show and was rushed across the street to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead due to a "dissection of the aorta," essentially a previously undiagnosed heart problem, and that led to his passing. Ritter was only 54. I'm over this week already.
