Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora Purchase Arena Football Team

Proving that tight jeans and long, feathered hair don't make you a total sissy, Jon Bon Jovi and band-mate Richie Sambora have purchased a stake in the Arena Football League (AFL)'s newest expansion team. The rockers and real estate developer Craig A. Spencer are now the proud owners of the Philadelphia Soul, who will begin play next season in Philly's Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum. The Soul are the Arena Football League's 18th team. "I love football, always have. It's the only sport I really live and breathe," said Bon Jovi, who was initially met with skepticism among league executives. However, Billboard reports that the rock star quickly impressed the execs with his work ethic and football knowledge. "We're driving on our way to a concert and he's asking me about the emergency quarterback rule," league commissioner David Baker said. "Nobody ever asks me about the emergency quarterback rule."
