Scott Weiland Reunites Campfire Girls, Starts Record Label

STP mainman Scott Weiland has created his own record label, Softdrive Records. The new label, an imprint of Interscope, was formed "in an effort to find and nurture great new artists," reports Billboard. The new label will officially launch with the release of newly reunited group The Campfire Girls' sophomore album, Tell Them Hi, on October 14. Weiland played a big role in helping to reunite the band in December of 2000 by allowing them access to his Burbank studio and producing some of their recordings.

In Stone Temple Pilots news, Atlantic will release a greatest hits album called Thank You, on November 11. The collection will feature the obligatory new track, "All In The Suit That You Wear" as well as an acoustic version of the hit "Plush."
