It seems most times, Sean "P Diddy" Combs is doing some thing stupid. Whether itís changing his name, reportedly declining to pay huge bar tabs, or getting involved in tiffs, Diddy hasnít exactly made a name for himself as one of the good guys. Yesterday, however, he took a big step in that direction. Combs ran the New York Marathon and raised approximately $2 million for charities benefiting children in the New York City area. The money will go to the New York City public school system, the Children's Hope Foundation, a group aimed at helping HIV-positive children, and Diddy's own charity cause, Daddy's House Social Programs.
Amongst the people donating towards his total were J. Lo and Ben Affleck, to the tune of $78,000, while $25,000 came from Jay-Z. Not only that, but he finished the race in 11,358th place, clocking in at just under four hours 15 minutes, after only training for nine weeks. Not bad, really. Nice work to all involved.
