Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson Get In On Video Game Soundtracks

It seems more and more artists are wising up to the fact that video games are a great way to sell records and expand their visibility. A few months ago, we brought you news that Peter Gabrielís music was to be used in games in the Myst series; now comes word of other musicians getting in while the gettingís good. Already having written music for one of the best selling games ever, Quake, Nine Inch Nails frontman and Nothing Records co-owner Trent Reznor is working on music for Doom III. One of the artists on his label, Marilyn Manson is matching him, with the song ìUse Your Fist Not Your Mouthî being used in the new Spawn Unleashed title, based the Spawn Armageddon comic book by Todd McFarlane. McFarlane told Billboard, “If any artist epitomizes my anti-hero Spawn, it’s Marilyn Manson.” I guess that about says it all. Spawn Armageddon drops November 26, while Doom III is still in production.
