Metallica Live EP, Documentary In Store Next Year

It may be cold in January, but it was warm when Metallica played live in Paris on June 11. Hot, in fact: the hottest day in French history. A special EP, including six tracks recorded on that French journey, will be released in the UK on January 12. The Unnamed Feeling EP will feature the title track and live versions of Metallica favorites ìRide The Lightning,î ìDamage, Inc.,î ìLeper Messiah,î ìThe Four Horsemen,î ìMotorbreath,î and ìHit The Lights,î as well as the video for the title track. If that doesnít just scream rock & roll, then can I just mention that Eddie Furlong is in the video?

Also out next year in theaters is Metallica: Some Sort Of Monster. This documentary was filmed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky (Brother's Keeper and Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills) and was condensed down from over 1200 hours of film. Expect to see a gritty, behind the scenes look at the band going through a very rough patch with James Hetfield's alcohol addiction and bassist Jason Newsted leaving the band, both events almost splitting the band. It's bound to be a very interesting look inside one of the biggest bands in the world.
