The Pixies Confirm New DVD Release For 2004

As previously reported, The Pixies will release a new "best of" CD next year to replace 1997's Death To The Pixies, which has gone out of print in the US. Now, it seems another Pixies release will hit shelves next year as well in the form of, as manager Ken Goes call it, "a very nice DVD." No release date has been set, but we do know that the DVD will feature eight Pixies videos, including ones for the tracks "Debaser," "Here Comes Your Man," "and "Monkey Gone To Heaven." Billboard reports that the as-yet-untitled release will also include the documentary Gouge, which features interviews with Thom Yorke, David Bowie and Bono. "Finally, it'll include some off-stage stuff, sort of behind-the-scenes, on tour and in the studio; about 30 minutes or so," said Goes. "It'll be a great package for fans and a nice introduction for others."

Goes did not, however, comment on the growing speculation of a Pixies reunion. He did say that he had received an offer for the band to reform in
April, but continued, "That said, over the past 10 years, I have received dozens of offers for the Pixies."
