Cult icon, rock legend, and all around weird and intriguing guy Morrissey has apparently given his new album a name. Though the singer has yet to fax anyone to make it official, his guitarist and fan sites have revealed the new album, his first in seven years, will be dubbed You Are The Quarry. If all goes well, Sanctuary will release the album in April through the Attack imprint. According to NME, the star and his band have recorded nearly 30 songs in Oxfordshire's Hook End Manor with producer Jerry Finn. Guitarist Alan Whyte told the BBC, "It's going to be a great album. Think the fans will be really really excited. I personally think it's the best Morrissey album to date."
Whyte continued, "It's kind of like a cross between Your Arsenal and Vauxhall & I musically - there's real variety there. There are some slow songs, some uptempo ones and a few real tough-sounding tracks." Take a look below for a list of songs that might make the cut.
"My Life Is A Series Of People Saying Goodbye"
"Teenage Dad On His Estate"
"Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice"
"I Have Forgiven Jesus"
"Come Back To Camden"
"How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel"
"I'm Not Sorry"
