No Coldplay Album Or Tour Until 2005?

Worldwide superstars Coldplay entered a London studio Tuesday (Jan. 27) to begin work on their yet-to-be titled third full length, according to MTV News. Producer Ken Nelson, who was head knob twister on both of the band's previous releases, is once again behind the boards. Why fix it if it ain't broke, right? Don't get too excited though Coldplay fans. A labels spokesperson told MTV that the new release will most likely not hit shelves until 2005. Even worse, no live dates are expected from the band this year either, meaning 2004 will be entirely Coldplayless, orÖ Coldplay-freeÖ sans Coldplay? (choose your own ending to that sentence). The band is nominated for Record Of The Year with "Clocks," so it is possible we'll get to see Coldplay take the stage at the Grammys - even if it is only to give an acceptance speech. We will of course let you know when more album info is available.
