Chris Vrenna Re-Emerges As Tweaker





Having a lot of friends is a good thing. and when youíre a musician and the friends you have are talented, itís icing on the cake. Ex-Nine Inch Nails sticksman Chris Vrenna has recorded his second album under the name Tweaker and boy, are friends showing up in force. As on his 2001 debut, The Attraction to All Things Uncertain, the new album, 2 a.m. Wakeup Call, features guest vocals from Japan frontman David Sylvian, as well as the prolific Will Oldham. This time around, however, they are joined by axeman extraordinaire Johnny Marr and appearances from singers Robert Smith of The Cure, Jonathan ìMellodroneî Bates, Jennifer Charles of Elysian Fields, Hamilton Leithauser of The Walkmen, and Nick Young of Artificial Intelligence. Wow, must be nice to be so loved! Watch for 2 a.m. Wakeup Call to be in stores April 20.
