The father of all UK festivals, The Glastonbury Festival, may not be occurring until late June, but the news of the first headliners leaked out today. None other than Paul McCartney will be on board for the seminal festival, run by Michael Eavis and held on his farm near Stonehenge. NME is reporting that The Strokes and Oasis are not yet confirmed, but are currently negotiating, as are The Pixies, Idlewild, Muse and Elbow. Already marked down in pen for the June 25-June 27 extravaganza are The Cure, Kings Of Leon, Player .049 stars Scissor Sisters, and soul legend james Brown. If youíre planning on heading over, tickets go on sale April 1, and that ainít no joke.
