With the departure of former band member Leroy Bach just weeks ago, Wilco have named two new members to pick up the slack on their forthcoming spring tour. Pat Sansone, who is part of Wilco bassist John Stirratt's side project Autumn Defense, has been brought in on keyboards and guitar. Esteemed improvisational jazz guitarist Nels Cline will also lend his talents to the band on the road, according to Billboard. As previously reported, Wilco will hit the road on April 21 in Columbia, MO, playing dates across the Southwest as they head out to Indo, CA, for their high profile spot at Coachella on May 1.
Following their Coachella performance, Wilco have only two more dates scheduled at this time. The first is a lone international date as part of the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Spain, on May 28. The second is a June 11 spot at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN.
The follow-up to 2002's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot has been dubbed A Ghost Is Born and is scheduled for release on June 8 through Nonesuch.
