As we brought you last week, the famed Glastonbury Festival will feature Oasis headlining one of its three nights. But who else is on board for the world famous event, held this year over the weekend of June 25-27? The other two nights are headlined by Muse and Paul McCartney, while Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand, James Brown, The Vines, Kraftwerk, BRMC, PJ Harvey, and The Chemical Brothers are amongst the act rumored to feature in supporting roles. Tickets are available from Thursday, April 1, so if these bands tickle your fancy, prepare to stay up late to get your tickets on time.
Damn these UK festivals. They just keep adding bands and bands and bands, making me more and more jealous. The V Festival, held this year on August 21 and 22 in two separate locales, one an hour outside London and another outside of Birmingham, already had The Strokes headlining a lineup that also featured The Pixies and Muse, Massive Attack, Primal Scream, Snow Patrol, N.E.R.D. and Kings Of Leon. Now theyíve upped the ante, as Jet, Faithless, The Thrills, and Badly Drawn Boy have been confirmed for the event. Color me green with envy.
