HarperCollins Secures Rights To U2 Retrospective

HarperCollins has just become the proud parents of a full-color U2 photo retrospective book. According to Billboard the publishing company has just secured worldwide rights to the publication. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame curator Jim Henke, who recently oversaw the museum's U2 exhibit, "In The Name Of Love: Two Decades Of U2", will be the scribe for the book.

The volume will feature a score of rare visual material spanning all of U2's career. There is no official release date yet, however, tentative plans have been made to release the publication around the same time that U2's upcoming album streets. The goal for that street date is the end of the year.

In related Bono-Trying-To-Make-The-World-A-Better-Place news, Bono illustrated five prints for a new CD/book of Prokofiev's Peter & The Wolf. He recently donated 200 sets of the five prints to the Irish Hospice Foundation.
