Bad Religion Point Out That The Empire Strikes First June 8

Old punks never die. They just keep writing politically-charged, highly relevant music. And such is the case with Bad Religion. The elders of the punk struggles will drop their 13th studio record, The Empire Strikes First (no explanation necessary there) on June 8. The 14-track record was co-written by singer Greg Graffin and guitarist Brett Gurewitz and is the bandís first record since 2002. As is the norm for Bad Religion, much of the record is political in nature and most of it is aimed at President Bush and his decisions. Empire isnít the only material Bad Religion is releasing this year, however. Today, they re-release remastered versions of 1982ís How Could Hell Be Any Worse, 1987ís Suffer, 1989ís No Control, 1990ís Against The Grain, and 1992ís Generator. Also hitting shelves today is Along The Way, a DVD retrospective of Bad Religionís 1989 European tour. And, of course, the boys will be busy all summer with their Warped Tour plans. Whew! Being punk rock is hard work!
