The Discarded Sessions

The road for Nutonic has been a long and winding one. Starting off their musical career in 1996 in their home of Llanddulas, North Wales, the band then moved to Manchester, gigging about for two years and raising their visibility. They then took the next step and relocated to London, knowing that was their best shot to make their musical dreams come true. The Discarded Sessions is their third EP and their most varied to date. The name may sound familiar to some, as the band received some specialty radio play in 2003 with their last EP, The Control Freaks, and their latest material continues to showcase the quartetís knack for putting together a rockiní good tune. Chunky riffs and frontman Jamie Priceís vocal presence highlight both ìSynthetic Blissî and ìSkin N Bone,î while ìChicken Feedî finds the Welshmen aiming their guitars at your heart, penning a sweeping, atmospheric rock number with shades of Radiohead, Swervedriver and Feederís slower moments. With three EPs under the belt and a wide array of different sounds emanating from them, itís only a matter of time before Nutonicís brand of stratospheric rock moves them on to a bigger playing field.
