Though no official release date has been set by our friends over at Matador, Interpol's highly anticipated sophomore album looks like it will be ready for release in September. According to Billboard, the tracks "NARC" and "Length Of Love" can be confirmed as having been recorded for inclusion on the as-yet-untitled new album. The band have no plans to tour for next several months in order to finish up work on the record, but of course, they do plan on touring to support its release once it hits the streets.
In related news, "Interlude," a 59-second Interpol instrumental track has become Matador Records' very first Internet single. The song, which was previously available only on the Japanese version of Turn On The Bright Lights, is currently available for download at the iTunes Music Store.
Trust us, we're just as excited about the thought of new Interpol music as you are, so rest assured, we'll let you know the second we get some solid info on their new release.
