Friday Express - Curefest; Rocket Science Frontman In Coma

There can never be too many good tours, and with that in mind, The Cure are planning a doozy. Rumors have been bandied about for months, but Curefest looks to take place this summer. The traveling festival is due to feature the headliners, as well as feature appearances from Interpol, The Rapture, and Mogwai. Other acts are expected to be added to the bill, and the dates are thought to run from July through September, with the tour kicking off in Miami on July 24, but as soon as firm dates are announced, weíll bring them to you.

The frontman of Australian rockers Rocket Science collapsed before a gig and is currently in a coma. The band, whom you may remember from Player .043, were preparing for a gig in Melbourne when their singer passed out. Roman Tucker was placed in a ìmedically assisted coma,î according to NME, after doctors discovered two blood clots in his brain from the fall, as well as general swelling of the brain. Our thoughts go out to the band and Tuckerís family for a speedy recovery.
