Hives Name New Album, Precede Its Release With 2001 UK Comp

Fans of The Hives will be excited to learn that they'll have the opportunity to pick up two new Hives albums in July. Well, one of them is new, while the other is actually "new," if you catch my drift. You see, before the Hives drop the brand new album, Tyrannosaurus Hives, via Interscope on July 20, Burning Heart/Epitaph/Sire will release the compilation CD Your New Favorite Band a week prior. Your new favorite band was first released in 2001 in the UK through Poptones, but is just finding it's way Stateside. It will include four tracks from both Veni Vidi Vicious and the band's 1997 debut Barely Legal, as well as three from the A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T EP.

According to Billboard, the compilation will also come with a bonus DVD that includes the videos for "Hate To Say I Told You So," "Die, All Right!" and "Main Offender." Billboard makes no mention of any bonus material, which seems a little strange. You'd expect to at least see that lingerie commercial with Kylie riding the mechanical bull, right? Remember that? It was HOT. Just in case you forgot, click here. You're welcome guys.

Your New Favorite Band track listing:

"Hate To Say I Told You So"

"Mad Man"

"Here We Go Again"

"A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T"

"Automatic Schmuck"

"Hail Hail Spit N'Drool"

"The Hives Are Law, You Are Crime"
