Indie rock's finest have turned out to pay tribute to iconic Texas-based singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston with the release of Discovered, Covered: The Late Great Daniel Johnston. Johnston is actually still alive, so don't let that title fool you. The release boasts contributions from household names like Beck, Tom Waits, Sparklehorse w/ the Flaming Lips and Guster, but it also features a slew of up-and-comers like TV On The Radio, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie and the Starlight Mints. Discovered will be released as a two disc set on August 24 by Gammon Records. According to Rolling Stone, the first disc will be the collection of cover songs, while the second will feature Johnston's original versions of the songs. Read on to peep the track listing.
