From The End Of Your Leash

Bobby Bare Jr. is the son of country music royalty. His father, Bobby Bare, is responsible for such country classics as ì500 Miles Away From Home,î ìDetroit City,î and 41 other Top 40 country hits. As you might imagine, Junior got his start in music at a young age. Well actually, he was nominated for a Grammy for a duet with his father at age five. Yes, you heard that right. While most of us were watching the Smurfs and picking our boogers, Bobby was busy being nominated for a Grammy. Since then, Bobby has dedicated his life to music. In the late ë90s, he fronted the boss hog rock band Bare Jr., releasing a pair of albums. In 2002, Jr. set out on his own, crafting an all-encompassing musical style impossible to categorize. Blending a classic country growl, gutter punk sensibility, a love of virtually all forms of music and two generations worth of pure songwriting skill, Bobby Bare Jr. is truly one of America's finest troubadours. From The End Of Your Leash flows around the trials and tribulations of a rock band on the road, capturing aspects of love, travel, drugs and performing like only he can. Stand outs include the bluesy "Strange Bird," the hilarious ode to Nashville, "Visit Me In Music City," the infectious duet "Your Favorite Hat" and of course, the first single, "Valentine." Don't pigeon-hole this artist into the shackles of alt-country where he doesn't belong. Recognize Bobby for the true songwriting talent that he is. I do.
