When Lollapalooza crumbled, it left a great deal of today's best up and coming acts scrambling to find work. Some of these bands have been able to jump onboard as opening acts on existing tours, but the lucky ones, like Modest Mouse, have been able to set out on their own. Riding the success of their latest release Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which spawned the hit single and MTV supported track, "Float On," the band is the process of lining up a headlining North American tour. Kicking off on July 16 in Chico, CA, Modest Mouse currently has 12 dates lined up spanning all the way to September 18 at the Austin City Limits Festival. More dates are expected to be added to fill in the gaps in the near future.
Modest Mouse will drop a second single, "Ocean Breathes Salty," in the coming weeks. The single will be accompanied by a Chris Milk-directed video. Check out the confirmed dates thus far below.
