Jimmy Eat World Set A Release Date For New Album

Mesa, Arizona's Jimmy Eat World have set a release date for the follow-up to their 2001 breakout album, Bleed American (changed to self-titled after 9/11). Dubbed Futures, the new album will hit brick and mortar and online outlets everywhere on October 19. According to Billboard, a yet-to-be-named Universal Music Group imprint will be releasing Futures, as the company gobbled up the band's former home DreamWorks. Jimmy Eat World have a few select dates scheduled this summer, including a July 31 appearance at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, an August 27 stop in San Diego for the Street Scene Festival and a September 3 performance at the Milwaukee bratwurst-eating, beer-guzzling extravaganza known as Summerfest. Expect a full tour later this fall in support of Futures. We'll let you know as soon as we get the confirmed dates.
