M83 Kick Off KEXP-Sponsored Tour In September

I've been seeing this Antibes, France-based artist, M83 pop up in a number of Players Picks, so I figured there are quite of few of you out there who would be psyched to learn that a North American tour has been planned for September. The tour, sponsored by eclectic Seattle-based non-comm tastemaker station KEXP, will kick off on September 13 in Philly and hit New York, Montreal, Chicago, San Francisco, and LA, before wrapping up in Seattle on Sunday, September 19. The tour comes in support of M83's second album, Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, which was released this week through Mute North America.

M83 is Anthony Gonzalez (with assistance from friend Nicolas Fromageau). The music they create transcends genres, blending electronic, pop and ambient influences into an addicting Slurpee of musical goodness. Slurpees are so damn good. Coke Slurpees only though. All those other flavors like wild berry and pink lemonade suck. I think I'm going to go get a Slurpee right now. Woah, where did that come from?! Anyway, check out the full tour details below:
