Rockers Take To The Stage In Battleground States

A number of high-profile acts have signed on for the Vote For Change Tour, a series of concerts presented by MoveOn.Org's political action committee MoveOn PAC and America Coming Together. Artists like Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen, Death Cab For Cutie, Bright Eyes, and more, will visit 28 cities in nine swing states in an effort to rally support for the Democratic party and the Kerry campaign. The tour kicks off on October 1 in Pennsylvania, with six simultaneous shows in Philadelphia, Reading, State College, Pittsburgh, Williamsport and Wilkes-Barre. The Philly show will boast a line-up that includes Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, R.E.M., John Fogerty, and Bright Eyes, while Pearl Jam and Death Cab will play to fans in Reading. Other artist line-ups include the Dave Matthews Band, Jurassic 5, and My Morning Jacket in State College; the Dixie Chicks and James Taylor in Pittsburgh; Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Keb' Mo' in Williamsport; and finally, John Mellencamp and Babyface in Wilkes-Barre.

These artist pairings will then hit Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Carolina and Florida. According to Billboard, an interview with Bruce Springsteen where he discusses the Vote For Change tour will air tonight on ABC's Nightline.
