Sweet Confusion

By Divine Right are savvy rock veterans to say the least. This Toronto-based quartet began making beautiful eccentric rock music way back in 1989 when frontman and group mastermind Jose Miguel recorded his first demos. Since that time, the band has recorded hundreds of songs and multiple CDs and EPs, and of course, toured extensively. BDR, what those in the know call them, have developed an incredible following in their hockey-loving home country, due equally in part to their no holds barred rock & roll music and their unforgettable live performances. The band received a taste or success back in 1999 with the single “Come For A Ride” from the Bless This Mess LP, but never quite reached superstardom here in the States. They have, however, established themselves as rock demigods in a number of cities in China, as they were the second Canadian band ever to tour the Chinese provinces. The band has now set out to achieve the same sort of success in democratic nations across the world with the release of Sweet Confusion, their most ambitious undertaking to date. The first single, "Soft Machine" has been getting some airplay at alternative specialty radio, but the album has a lot more to offer.
