Swedish pop orchestra The Concretes return stateside for a fall tour to deliver one of the most exceptional sounds you’ve neverheard in October. "An ethereal and poppy, bittersweet and sparkly, timeless mélange of ear-kissing vocals, strings (even harp!), glockenspiels, tambourines and drums," sayeth the band. What do they sound like? Think the Ronnettes meet Mazzy Star, hanging out with Lou Reed and Andy Warhol in a Stockholm snow globe.
Known to swell at times to a dozen members on stage, the band are their own traveling Spector "wall of sound". Where are they playing? Dates are as follows:
10.13.04 - Boston, MA (TT the Bear’s)
10.14.04 - New York, NY (Bowery Ballroom)
10.17.04 - Seattle, WA (Neumos)
10.20.04 - San Francisco, CA (Great American)
10.22.04 - Los Angeles, CA (Troubadour)
