By now, you should all be well aware of the Vote For Change Tour. Let's face it, we've covered it enough. The star-studded, battleground state-invading rock tour in support of the Kerry campaign has announced plans for a huge celebratory finale in Washington, DC. The event will take place on October 11 at the MCI Center and will feature performances from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Dave Matthews Band, John Mellencamp, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, John Fogerty, Jurassic 5, Keb' Mo Babyface, and the Dixie Chicks.
"This finale concert will clearly be a historic event, and we're honored and grateful to be presenting it with so many world-renowned artists," Eli Pariser of MoveOn PAC, which is sponsoring the tour, told Billboard. "After four years of deficits, layoffs, and war, this call for new leadership will signal to millions of Americans that on Nov. 2, they need to get out and vote for change."
