XFM reports The Darkness have confirmed that they have made a selection of their B-sides and bonus tracks available for download through their website. Among the downloads available are the seven B-sides featured on the singles taken from the album Permission To Land, "I Believe In A Thing Called Love (Live At Knebworth)", UK Christmas #2 single "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)" and the Japanese-only bonus track "Holding My Own". Check them out here.
Not to be outdone, The Strokes have confirmed that fans will be able to get hold of the B-side to their new single a month early by logging on to War Child’s digital music provider. The third single to be released from Room On Fire, "The End Has No End" will come backed with a live version of the band’s cover of The Clash’s "Clampdown".
The live track can be downloaded almost a month before it hits the shops from the War Child charity website www.warchildmusic.com on October 7. The track will cost £.99 or $1.70, with all proceeds going toward helping children in war-torn countries across the globe.
