Ian Brown's Solarized Set For Domestic Release Through KOCH

The new album from ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown will be in US stores February 22 of next year through our friends at KOCH. Dubbed Solarized, the US version of the album will be bolstered by the bonus track, "Lovebug", ensuring that all the die-hards will have no choice but to pick it up. The album's first single, which was co-written by Noel Gallagher, is called "Keep What Ya Got" and is already a smash in the UK (of course). The UK press has eaten up this record, as has our own Doug Vicenzi, who reviewed the UK version last week.

As previously reported, former Stone Roses bassist Mani has hinted at a possible reunion of sorts. Speaking on UK radio, Mani said that he and Brown had been talking, and that he'd like to play with his former frontman on some new tunes (rather than previous material). We can only hope. In the meantime, Doug will continue his daily ritual of burning incense while praying to the Stone Roses shrine hidden in his closet and listening to "I Wanna Be Adored" on repeat in hopes the band will reunite.
