The Futureheads Embark On Headlining US Tour Next Month

After touring the US opening for Franz Ferdinand last month, Sunderland, England's The Futureheads will bring their danceable post-punk sounds back to North America for a tour of their very own. Beginning November 1 in Toronto, The Futureheads will be winning fans and peddling their brand new self-titled CD in major markets all across the country, eventually wrapping up at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on November 20. The band's eponymous debut will be in stores on October 26 through Sire/StarTime International. It has already been eaten up by the UK press. Check out some of these quotes: "It really is a disgrace that The Futureheads haven’t been hailed as the best idea since the invention of wanking," 4/5 Kerrang; “The long awaited antithesis of that maudlin swirl of post-post-Coldplay bands. A reminder of that sacred quality of great music: surprise,” The Guardian. Expect to see some similar praise tossed their way from Stateside press as well. Until then, go see them and just try not to shake your ass.
