How To Dismantle And Atomic Bomb, the forthcoming album from U2, will be available November 23 from Interscope. For the die hard fans, however, the band is offering up something special - a collector's edition of the album. The collector's edition will include a bonus DVD with footage of U2 in the studio and four yet-to-be-named acoustic songs. According to Billboard, it will also boast a 48-page hard-bound book and a suggested retail price of almost 40 bucks.
U2 is still in the process of plotting a massive 2005 tour in support of Bomb. Writing on the band's website, manager Paul McGuinness said, "We are still very much in the planning stages of our tour for next year which will visit the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia, and the band is really looking forward to getting out on the road. As soon as we have finalized the plans, the tour will be announced on U2.com as usual and purchase instructions will be clearly available. Nothing is confirmed until the official tour announcement, no tickets will be on sale until after this time."
While their manager is hard at work on those tour dates, the band spent last Friday night at the Top Of The Pops, where they taped a performance of their new single "Vertigo" for the UK television show.
