After making some noise at commercial specialty radio this summer, Parisian eclectrorock pop outfit Phoenix will be making their first ever journey to the US. The quick, nine-date tour will kick off with a free show on November 29 in Philadelphia at World Cafe and wrap two weeks later at Cane's in San Diego. Phoenix wisely chose to stay North of the Mason-Dixon line, as we all know the red states are especially inclined to beat up French people.
Throughout the course of the tour, Phoenix will be playing songs from both their debut album United (which spawned the song "Too Young" as heard on the Lost In Translation soundtrack) and this year's Alphabetical.
In celebration of the band's first Stateside trip, Astralwerks will release a 10-track live album called Thirty Days Ago as a digital download on November 30. The album's tracks are culled from the band's Scandinavian tour this summer.
