In October, confirmation came in that legendary and incredibly influential indie rock outfit Slint would be reforming to headline and curate the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Camber Sands, UK, in February of '05. The announcement caused the fastest sell-out in the festival's history, with all 3,000 tix getting snatched up before a single additional performer was announced.
Here's some even better news. Slint has decided to head out on a brief tour following their ATP headlining/curating gig. According to a band spokesperson, about 15 dates are being lined up beginning with a March 1 show at the Kentish Town Forum in London. So far, four US shows have been announced, half of which are in Chicago (woo hoo!).
More details are expected to be revealed in the next few weeks. We'll let you know as soon as we hear something. For now, here is the current US itinerary.
03.11.04 - San Francisco, CA (Great American Music Hall)
03.12.04 - Seattle, WA (The Showbox)
03.25.04 - Chicago, IL (Metro)
03.26.04 - Chicago, IL (Park West)
