With the explosion of dance/punk bands currently responsible for making hipsters finally feel OK about shaking their asses and the recent onslaught of reunion tours happening, the timing is just right for dance/rock pioneers Gang Of Four to come out of their cryogenic freezing chambers and once again captivate the masses. Yes, it's true. The legendary outfit that inspired R.E.M., U2, Rage Against The Machine, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and of course, more direct descendants like Franz Ferdinand, The Rapture, The Futureheads, Radio 4, etc., is reuniting for a UK and North American tour.
The original line-up of Jon King, Andy Gill, Dave Allen and Hugo Burnham will all be on hand for the band's limited tour run, which begins January 23 at Manchester Academy.
US dates are in the works and you can bet your ass we'll be giving you the heads up as soon as we hear anything.
