Jane's Addiction Morphs Into The Panic Channel

We already have The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and even The Golf Channel. Now you can add The Panic Channel to the list. Only difference is that you won’t find any home improvement tips from this one. The Panic Channel is the new version of Jane’s Addiction, minus Perry Farrell. The band is comprised of Dave Navarro, Chris Chaney, Stephen Perkens, along with Skycycle’s Steve Issacs.

Dave Navarro told Billboard: We've got close to 10 or 11 songs written and we've recorded about seven. We're finishing up the album in January, and it's awesome." When asked about the band’s sound, he added: “It's definitely rock. The best description I can give you is, if Rush was an alternative band with a little sense of goth. It's like a goth Rush." You heard him correctly. A goth Rush.

Once the band finishes up their debut album, Navarro said the band is looking to perhaps line up a summer tour. "That's why we're focusing on making this record, so we can try to get on a summer bill and have fun," Navarro said. To keep track of their daily progress, head over to Dave’s official blog.
