The TAKE ACTION tour and organization educate millions of youth on depression, suicide and finding help in their area. The two month tour with cutting-edge musical artists such as Sugarcult and Hawthorne Heights was established to promote social consciousness and awareness and raise funds for the National Hopeline Network (1-800-SUICIDE). In addition, the TAKE ACTION! Vol. 4 two-disc compilation CD was recently released on Sub City Records, a division of Hopeless Records.
Tomorrow, in a press conference to be held on Capitol Hill, the kick off of the fifth annual Take Action Tour will be announced, as well as the launch of the new Youth America Hotline! (1-877-YOUTHLINE). Youth America Hotline is a newly formed peer-to-peer line that pairs youth callers with youth crisis workers in their area. Beginning this year, proceeds from the Take Action tour will go to benefit YAH! as well as the National Hopeline Network.
Over the past four years, the TAKE ACTION TOUR and CD compilations have raised over $170,000 for the National Hopeline Network. Since it's inception, Sub City Recrods has raised over $500,000 for multiple charities.
