There comes a time when a shark has been jumped, or maybe it's a train wreck you just can't look away from. "Some Might Say" it's a guilty pleasure, "I love their early stuff" kind of music snob brush-off. Or maybe they are just three minutes away from regaining their form on US radio. I'm a glass half full kind of guy. As reported on NME.com, the brothers Gallagher and co. will perform at Madison Square Garden on June 22 with opening support from Jet. The new Oasis as-yet-untitled album is pencilled in for release on May 17, with Liam, guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell having an input in the song writing once exclusive to Noel. Imagine if Bonehead had tried to write a song back in the day? While Jet can be a poor man's AC/DC covering "Lust For Life", the fact that Oasis are playing the Garden one day before my birthday, it all seems perfect to me.

I'm sure more US dates are to follow with other cities having hold dates.
