NYC-based indie pop superstars Ivy have announced a brief string of tour dates in support of their latest release, In The Clear. Released this week (March 1), the album is Adam Schlesinger, Andy Chase and Dominique Durand's fourth album of original material (2002's Guestroom was a covers album, just in case any one was keeping score). If you need a couple more reasons to check it out, Steve Osborne (New Order, Happy Mondays, Doves) mixed the record and James Iha and ex-Girls Against Boys frontman Scott McLoud both make guest appearances.
The six-date tour really begins on May 9 at the Casbah in San Diego and runs along the West Coast ending with a show in Vancouver on May 16. However, Ivy will be warming up with a show for their hometown fans at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on April 22. According to the band's publicist, more dates will be announced soon, so if they're not stopping in your town this time through, there's still hope. Details below.
