Ryan Adams Takes Flight With The Cardinals

On May 3, Ryan Adams will drop the first of three new albums that are set for release this year. Called Cold Roses, the set is billed as Ryan Adams And The Cardinals. The Cardinals, who are J.P. Bowersock, Cindy Cashdollar, Brad Pemberton and Catherine Popper, acted as the backing band on Adams' most recent US tour. I witnessed their greatness first hand, and Adams was definitely at the top of his game with this group.

According to Billboard, the lovely and talented Rachael Yamagata makes a guest appearance on the album on the songs "Cold Roses" and "Let It Ride". Both Adams and Yamagata are the spokespeople for fashion designer John Varvatos's new ad campaign.

To support the release of Cold Roses, Adams and The Cardinals will be embarking on a short tour. Beginning April 27 in Northampton, MA, the tour currently has confirmed dates through May 9 in Asheville, NC. We'll let you know if more dates are announced.
