Though we’ve been preaching the Dr Dog gospel since Forevuary and their album Easy Beat gets more play ’round here than Trip Fontaine, the crew finally made their first live LA appearance last Friday. Needless to say they were in fine form, easily assuming their position as the city council reps of Radtimesville. Despite a late venue change that put them in Tangier, a classy spot more suited for the Mia Doi Todd’s and Inara George’s of the world, the Dog bopped around like the new Muppet band, wore sunglasses inside and basically did everything right. And that my dudes, is unfrontable.
