Delgados Call It Quits

Collectively the whole Tripwire staff just moaned the word “NOOOOO!!!!” when the press release came with the news. Glasgow’s beautiful music makers, The Delgados, have announced that they are throwing in the towel after ten years. Due in part to bassist Stewart Henderson informing the band that he did not wish to make another album. The band decided that they could not continue without all the original members. Leaving behind five albums, several of the members (including Emma Pollock and Alun Woodward) are planning on pursuing individual projects. In addition, the four friends will continue to run their record label, Chemikal Underground, with releases on the horizon from Arab Strap, Mother & The Addicts, and Malcolm Middleton. Thank you for the great music guys. You will be missed.
