Underworld Finish Up New Album

The legendary UK electronic duo Underworld has emerged from hiding out in their studio. The good news is that they have announced a handful of summer performances. The bad news is that none of these dates happen to be even remotely near North America. According to Billboard, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have been hard at work on their next studio album. The cover art for the follow-up to 2002’s A Hundred Days Off has been completed, or as Hyde put it, it is “all done and dusted.”

The pair did hint that a sneak peek of the new tunes may happen soon. They said: “perhaps in the future we'll maybe play some little segments of very new material that hasn't yet been released in a show somewhere on the World Wide Web.”

If you have some extra frequent flyer miles, consider hitting a few of Underworld’s upcoming tour dates.
