Details surrounding the first video off Coldplay’s upcoming new album X&Y have been released. By now you have all heard the new single “Speed Of Sound”. The visual accompaniment to the song will be a video put together by the film company Anonymous Content, known for producing the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
According to a press release, the video was shot on April 22nd and 23rd in Culver City. Directed by Mark Romanek (Johnny Cash “Hurt”, Lenny Kravitz “Are You Gonna Go My Way”), the band was filmed performing in front of a giant array of LED light-bars. So, it seems that we get to see Chris Martin & Co. getting their rock on in front of a gigantic Lite-Brite. We will get to see the finished product when the video is released to the world in mid-May.
