Hot Hot Heat Record Acoustic EP

As the Canadian alt-pop group Hot Hot Heat prepares for their US tour, they took a little time out to record unplugged. The group recently recorded acoustic versions of a few tracks off their latest album Elevator for an EP. Songs including “Jingle Jangle”, “You Owe Me An IOU”, “Pickin’ It Up”, “Goodnight, Goodnight” and “Middle Nowhere” were put down on tape to hopefully be released later this year. About these acoustic tracks, frontman Steve Bays told Rolling Stone: “It's just a totally different vibe -- like it sounds like old Johnny Cash. Just two acoustic guitars, vocals and harmonies - but it's not watered-down versions of the album. It's really, really cool."

Their US tour is kicking off on May 20th in New York City and concludes July 13th in Orlando. Yeah, we have posted these dates before, so consider this just another friendly reminder.
