But then we heard about the d.2, Mackie’s first entry into the battle-style mixer market. No idea whether or not the all-digital “Infinium” crossfader will help our wicky-wickys, but check the little expansion slot on the outputs that we’ve highlighted with a Photoshop marker: FIREWIRE PORTS.

Says the press release: “the Mackie d.2’s optional FireWire connectivity, which allows DJs to easily mix in mp3s directly from a laptop, or even record their sets directly into their computers.” Interesting for sure, we’ll keep y’all posted.
