This Year's Austin City Limits Festival Looks To Be The Best

So yeah you all know about Coachella, All Tomorrows Parties, and Bonaroo. Have you heard of the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL for all the Texans) yet? Maybe I am just familiar with them since I was born and raised in Texas, and maybe that makes me biased when I say that it is one hell of a good time. Who cares though, I mean with a lineup like they have this year I have every reason to say that it fucking rules.

This year proves to be no different. The organizers have announced today the lineup for the music love-fest that is taking place September 23-25 in downtown Austin’s Zilker Park. They cover so many genres that there is something for everyone. There will be about 130 bands that span the best that indie, rock, roots, Americana, country, and reggae have to offer. In 2004, the Austin City Limits Music Festival was the largest fundraiser for the Austin Parks & Recreation Department and KLRU (Austin’s PBS station) and brought an estimated $23 million into the local economy. I heart you Texas.
