Ben Harper Announces North American Tour

While hippies from coast to coast are still sobbing over the cancellation of the Zooma tour, making their tear-soaked doobies difficult to light, a bit of good news has finally emerged. The ill fated tour, which Ben Harper was to co-headline with former Phish singer/guitarist Trey Anastasio, was axed due to poor ticket sales. Dry your tears, as Harper just announced a 16-date North American tour. The small venue tour begins on July 12th in Vancouver and wraps up on August 1st in Atlanta.

According to Billboard, this marks Harper’s first tour since he supported his most recent record, Diamonds On The Inside, in 2003. Tom Freund will be opening for him on all dates. Once this tour concludes, Harper plans on heading into the studio to begin work on his next album.
