Rhino Reissues The Stooges

Rhino is all set to reissue the first two albums from The Stooges on August 16. Deluxe editions of The Stooges and Fun House will not only have the original album, but both will also include a fancy schmancy bonus disc of rarities and demos. (Including John Cale’s original mixes of of "No Fun", "Little Doll", "I Wanna Be Your Dog", "1969", a full version of "No Fun", and three alternate vocal takes.) “Slide (Slidin’ the Blues)”, “Lost in the Future”, “1970” and “Down on the Street” will be on The Fun House. Although frontman Iggy Pop oversaw the remastering of Raw Power (orgionally mixed by David Bowie) there has been no statement on if Iggy will have anything to do with the two Rhino releases. Even though The Stooges only released three albums total, they managed to influence a host of bands from The Clash to Black Flag. For more information check out this link.
