Although we are all still sobbing uncontrollably over the breakup of Mclusky, we can momentarily dry our tears thanks to a bit of good news. No, the band is not getting back together, but a three-disc compilation is currently in the works. The raggedy Welsh trio has accumulated quite the collection of b-sides and rarities over the course of recording their three albums, which will be compiled for this as-yet-untitled release.
Disc one will contain the band’s singles, disc two the b-sides, and disc three will feature radio sessions, outtakes and other assorted rarities. Unfortunately, there is no release date as of yet. While we wait for any further details on the specifics of this career spanning album, go put on Mclusky Do Dallas and reminisce about the good old days.
In other Mclusky news, founding member John Chapple will be releasing new material from his new project, Shooting At Unarmed Men, later this year. Too Pure’s website features an artist page for the group, so music shouldn’t be too far away.
